Development & Donor Relations Manager | Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation
The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation is dedicated to funding cutting edge research that identifies and corrects abnormal gene functions that cause cancer. Our grantees receive collaborative grants to work together across institutes & countries to find minimally toxic treatments for various cancer types.
  • Create & manage budgets, event timelines, procure items for silent & live auctions, manage and coordinate volunteers and work with committees for:
    • 100-golfer annual golf tournament fundraiser that raised $200,000 in 2017 & $220,000 in 2018, $230,000 in 2019
    • 300-350 attendee Hamptons Happening chef tasting event that raised $420,000 in 2017, $430,000 in 2018, $450,000 in 2019
    • Annual fashion luncheon fundraiser & various in-store fashion fundraising campaigns
  • Assist Executive Director with donor management, acknowledgement and cultivation
  • Manage Associates Board meetings, members and provide assistance with their grassroots fundraising efforts, planning annual fundraiser Havana Nights that in its inaugural year (2019) raised $30,000 and hosted 225 people for a night of cocktails
  • Vet, interview & hire interns & volunteers for in-office administration assistance. Oversaw 2 interns and/or volunteers every day and managed their schedules, work load & trained them on in-office procedures, fundraising efforts and Raiser’s Edge.
  • Manage and execute all fundraising data entry into Raiser’s Edge and reconcile fundraising accounts with Quickbooks and accountants on a monthly basis.

Events, Communications & Operations Coordinator | Cookies for Kids' Cancer 
Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a national 501(c)3 non-profit, is committed to raising funds for research to develop new, improved treatments for pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. We provide inspiration and support for individuals, businesses and organizations to raise funds by hosting grassroots bake sales and other fundraising events.
  • Responsible for event logistics including creating and maintaining a straight design & print schedule, coordinating 35 volunteer schedules per event, creating and maintaining event budgets, and various event logistics for:
    • 500-person gala that raised $1.1 million in 2016  & $1.2 million in 2017
    • 300-person family holiday cultivation event in 2016 & 2017 that raised about $200,000 each year
  • Wrote and edited copy for monthly e-newsletters to a database of supporters using Constant Contact 
  • Designed graphics for social media posts & responsible for increasing website traffic through Twitter, Facebook, Instagram gaining, in my first year of employment, 6,382 page likes, 2,570 Twitter followers, 1,590 Instagram followers. 

Events Intern | Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
  • Provide administrative support to supervisors as necessary to plan fundraising events including an 800-guest gala, the annual JDRF Type None Walk, a cheerleading competition and a wine & beer fall festival event
  • Managed volunteers during all aspects of event coordination & execution​
